Iran's 'we are not afraid of war' statement: Will the war in the Middle East escalate?

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated in a press conference that Israel's attacks on Lebanon are increasing tensions in the region.

Stating that actions against Iran-linked targets will not go unanswered, Kanaani expressed that 'the crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the resistance front and the Iranian people will not go without consequences.'

Conveying that they will remain vigilant against any threat to national security, Kanaani said, 'No one will be able to escape the consequences of their actions.'

'EXTERNAL FORCES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHAOS'

Kanaani also underscored that 'external forces' are responsible for the chaos in the region.

Responding to questions following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Kanaani said that Iran will provide a definitive response to this murder and that this option has not been taken off the table.

Kanaani remarked, 'The Zionists will see the consequences of their crimes.'

WILL IRAN SEND VOLUNTEER SOLDIERS TO LEBANON?

Addressing claims that Iran would send military forces to other countries, Kanaani argued that he believes the countries in the region have the capacity to defend themselves against the Zionist Israeli regime.

Kanaani used the words, 'The forces in Lebanon and Palestine have proven in the past that they have achieved victories against Israel.'
