Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi: There is no option other than war
In an interview with Russia Today (RT), Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi argued that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not in favor of peace and diplomacy, stating, "Netanyahu has no option in mind other than war."
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi answered questions regarding ongoing talks with the US in an interview with Russia Today (RT). Responding to the assessment that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's urgent meeting with US President Donald Trump "indicates that negotiations are going well," Araghchi said, "It is very clear that he (Netanyahu) does not like peace and is pro-war. He has attacked 7 countries in our region in just the last two years. Can you believe it? The last attack was on Qatar. Qatar is a US ally and a country with which the West has close relations. Therefore, Netanyahu has no option in mind other than war."
"He has tried every way to drag the US into a war with Iran"
Araghchi, who argued that Netanyahu is trying to pull the US into a war with Iran, stated, "Everyone needs to see this. Netanyahu has tried every way so far to drag the US into a war with Iran. When he succeeded in doing so, a disaster emerged. In the end, they lost. If they try the same failed scenario again, the result will not change."
"If they are serious, we are serious too"
Sharing his observations regarding the meetings held with Trump's Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner within the scope of the negotiations in Oman, Araghchi said, "The impression I got from Witkoff and Kushner is that they are trying to prevent war and find a diplomatic solution, and this is the smartest decision President Trump can make. Although we are not entirely sure, we were told that their intention is to find a peaceful solution. If they are truly serious, we are serious too."
