Iranian Foreign Ministry to Netanyahu: He finds the solution in war to save himself

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib as part of his official contacts in the capital, Beirut, where he arrived yesterday.

Speaking at a joint press conference after the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian made assessments regarding the attacks the Israeli army has been carrying out for over 4 months against the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, as well as other developments.

EMPHASIS ON 'GAZA' FROM IRAN AND LEBANON

Stating that developments in the Gaza Strip are moving toward a political solution but that Netanyahu wants war, Amir-Abdollahian said, "As two countries, Iran and Lebanon have emphasized that war is not a solution and that the war should not spread."

Arguing that Israel and the US administration supporting it have not achieved any concrete success in the genocide they have been conducting in the Gaza Strip for 4 months, Amir-Abdollahian said the following regarding the US's regional policy:

"The US is pursuing two policies on this matter. On one hand, it continues its military aid to Israel and is complicit in the genocide in Gaza. Its other policy is the dialogue it has initiated toward a political solution. We want to state clearly; if the US wants security and stability in the region, it must stop the massacre taking place in Gaza and the West Bank."

Lebanese Foreign Minister Bou Habib also reiterated that his country has never wanted war and is instead in search of stability and security.

"NETANYAHU FINDS THE SOLUTION IN WAR TO SAVE HIMSELF"

As part of his visit to Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian also met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.

In a written statement issued after the meeting, it was reported that Amir-Abdollahian told Mikati, "Today, developments in Gaza are moving toward a political solution. However, Netanyahu finds the solution in war to save himself."

Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati also assessed, "We are in pursuit of peace and stability in the region. Additional efforts must be made to stop the war on Gaza so that the possibility of an all-out war in the region can be averted."

Later, holding a press conference at the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian stated, "If the Zionist regime launches an all-out attack on Lebanon, it will mark the end of Netanyahu and the end of the current situation in the region."

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.
