Iranian military official announces: US targeted its own soldiers
An Iranian military official has claimed that the US targeted its own soldiers during a rescue operation following the downing of a US warplane.
Colonel Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, made striking statements regarding the recent military losses and rescue attempts experienced by the US on Iranian soil.
In his statement to Iranian media, Zulfiqari said that the Iranian air force had downed a US F-15E fighter jet, and that the US transport planes subsequently sent to the region to rescue the missing second pilot were targeted by Iranian air defense systems. Zulfiqari stated, "US planes were shot down by Iranian air defense, and the US bombed its own soldiers."
The US administration had previously announced that they had carried out an operation to rescue the second pilot of the warplane that crashed in Iran. US President Donald Trump had announced that the missing pilot was rescued alive following the downing of the F-15E model aircraft in Iran on April 3.
However, Colonel Zulfiqari stated that this rescue operation ended in failure, saying, "The attempt to rescue the pilot failed." Zulfiqari also emphasized that US President Trump is finding himself in an increasingly difficult situation under current conditions and that the losses suffered by the US military in the region cannot be covered up by propaganda efforts.
