Iranian news agency: Israel launches attack on Syria

Israel has once again carried out an airstrike on Syria. Syrian media reported that Israel conducted an airstrike on a building in Mezzeh, west of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

In the IRNA report, it was stated, "The Zionist regime targeted a civilian residential unit in the Sheikh Saad neighborhood."

The report provided information that the building targeted in the attack was located near the Iranian Embassy in Damascus.

Reports stated that 7 people lost their lives and 11 others were injured in the attack. It was noted that Syrian air defense systems responded to the Israeli attack.

Furthermore, reports alleged that Israel targeted members of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the attack.

NO IRANIAN CITIZENS AMONG THE DEAD AND INJURED

The Iranian Embassy in Damascus announced that there were no Iranian citizens among those killed or injured in the attack carried out by Israel on a building near the embassy.

In a written statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, it was stated that Israel targeted civilians in a missile attack on a civilian building in the center of Damascus.

Condemning the attack, the Iranian Embassy shared the information that there were no Iranian citizens among the dead and injured.

The official Iranian news agency IRNA had announced that Israel targeted a building near the Iranian Embassy in Damascus.

In the report by the Syrian regime's agency SANA, it was stated, "An apartment building in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus was targeted, and according to initial information, there are casualties."
