Iranian official: No nuclear leak at Fordo

A Governor's Office official from Qom province, where the uranium enrichment facility in Fordo is located, made a statement to an AA reporter.

The official stated, "The Fordo nuclear facility has been attacked by the United States and this facility has been damaged, but there is no nuclear leak inside or around it."

US President Donald Trump had announced that they had carried out airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.

A Governor's Office official from the city of Qom, where Iran's most critical nuclear facility, Fordo, is located, had confirmed that an attack was carried out on the facility.

Speaking to the country's media, Isfahan Deputy Governor Akbar Salehi also reported that there were attacks near the Isfahan and Natanz nuclear centers.

Salehi had stated that detailed information would be announced later.

On the other hand, Iranian state television had announced, without confirming the reports of the attack, that the facilities had been evacuated beforehand and that nuclear materials had been moved to another location.
