Iranian President Pezeshkian declares 'we will never accept it': Held talks with Macron
In a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated, "We are ready for dialogue and cooperation to build trust regarding nuclear activities, but we will never accept the complete cessation of these activities."
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron. During the call, Pezeshkian stated that Israel's attacks on Iran threaten regional security and called on the international community to take effective steps.
Responding to Macron's call for confidence-building, Pezeshkian said, "From the very beginning, I have sought to strengthen cooperation with all countries of the world based on mutual trust and respect, and I am still in pursuit of this. However, the party that undermined this process was the Zionist regime, which started by assassinating Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran."
"THE REGIME'S GOAL IS TO MAKE THE ENTIRE REGION INSECURE"
Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Israel clearly violates international rules with its attacks on Iran, stating, "The goal of this regime is to make the entire region insecure. States and international institutions must condemn these attacks and stop them effectively."
"WE ARE READY FOR COOPERATION AND TO PROVIDE ASSURANCES"
Addressing Iran's nuclear program, Pezeshkian said, "Based on the Supreme Leader's fatwa, Iran has repeatedly stated that it has no intention of producing nuclear weapons. We are ready for transparent cooperation and to provide assurances within the framework of international law. However, we will never give up our legitimate nuclear rights."
"WE WILL NEVER ACCEPT IT"
Stating that Iran's defense power cannot be a subject of negotiation, Pezeshkian said, "The rights granted to countries and peoples by international rules cannot be taken away from them through war or threats. We are ready for dialogue and cooperation to build a climate of trust in nuclear activities, but we will never accept the complete cessation of these activities. Furthermore, if the Zionist regime's attacks continue, our response will be more severe and decisive."
"STABILITY COMES WITH STOPPING ISRAEL"
Iranian President Pezeshkian said that the country's defense capacity can never be a subject of negotiation, adding, "Peace and security are only possible with mutual trust and respect. Today, one of the most fundamental conditions for ensuring and maintaining stability for the region and the world is the stopping of the Zionist regime."
"IRAN IS READY FOR ANY CONSTRUCTIVE DIALOGUE"
Stating that they are open to all kinds of negotiation and dialogue proposals, Pezeshkian said, "However, this process must be conducted solely within the framework of international law. Iran is ready for any constructive dialogue based on its clear and explicit rights."
"WE DID NOT TAKE PART IN THE ATTACK"
French President Macron said during the call, "As I stated in our previous meeting, we did not take part in Israel's military attack on Iran and did not support this attack. France's position is clear. Any attack on civilian and non-nuclear centers must be condemned."
Pointing to the recent meetings held by the foreign ministers of France, the UK, and Germany with their Iranian counterparts, Macron stated, "France's goal is to stop military conflicts and reduce tension. Interfering with sovereignty through pressure and threats is not the right method."
