Iranian sources confirm: Israeli assassination plot thwarted at the last minute

In a statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was announced that the country's intelligence services had neutralized a major assassination plot.

Mohammad Hossein Ranjbaran, an advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister, stated that the target was Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and that the attack had been planned by Israeli forces.

PLANNED IN TEHRAN, WAS TO BE CARRIED OUT WITHIN DAYS

Ranjbaran stated that the plot in question was organized to be executed in Iran's capital, Tehran, and that the attack was only "a few days" away from taking place. The assassination attempt failed thanks to strict measures taken by Iranian security forces.

In his statement, Ranjbaran said, "Had it not been for the meticulous security measures taken by our soldiers, this plot would most likely have been carried out within the last few days," and announced that all details of the operation would be shared with the public shortly.
