The terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for the armed attack targeting Shiite Hazaras in Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of at least 14 people.
The terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack in a post on its social media account.
According to the Afghan press, the attack on Shiite Hazaras was carried out by unidentified gunmen at noon in the Karyudal region, located on the border of Daykundi and Ghor provinces.
At least 14 people lost their lives in the attack, and 4 others were injured.
It was reported that the victims were residents of the Sengi Takht district of Daykundi province and were traveling to the Karyudal region to welcome relatives returning from a pilgrimage to Karbala.
It was noted that the gunmen stopped the bus carrying the district residents under the pretext of taking photographs and then opened fire on them.
The Afghan administration has not yet made a statement regarding the matter.
