Israel denies entry to British MPs

It has been reported that Israel has denied entry to British Labour Party MPs Abtisam Mohamed and Yuan Yang.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, the plane carrying Mohamed, Yang, and two of their aides landed at Ben Gurion Airport yesterday at 14:30. It was reported that during questioning at the airport, the pair stated they were on an official visit to Israel representing the British Parliament.

However, the Israeli Interior Ministry claimed that no such official delegation had arrived from the UK and blocked the entry of Mohamed, Yang, and their two aides. The ministry alleged that the purpose of the visit was "to document the Israeli army's (attacks) and to spread anti-Israel hate speech."

Meanwhile, the Tel Aviv administration had also previously denied entry to European Parliament members Lynn Boylan and Rima Hassan, who had arrived in the country for official contacts in February.
