The Israeli military announced that it has carried out an airstrike on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

In a statement from the Israeli military spokesperson's office, it was stated that a 'targeted' strike was carried out on Beirut. It was noted that there were no changes to the security warnings issued to citizens by the Israeli Home Front Command.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) announced that, according to initial reports, five children were killed in the Israeli airstrike on Beirut.

An AA correspondent in Beirut reported that an airstrike was carried out on a location on Camus Street in the city. While thick smoke was seen rising from the site of the attack, Lebanese medical teams and ambulances were dispatched to the area.

Footage of smoke rising from the Dahiyeh neighborhood in southern Beirut, where Hezbollah is active, was also shared on social media.
