The Israeli military reported that it struck more than 150 'targets' in attacks carried out this morning in southern and eastern Lebanon.

The Israeli military issued a written statement regarding the airstrikes.

The statement indicated that more than 150 'targets' had been bombed so far in the attacks launched on Lebanon this morning. It was stated that the attacks were carried out by a large number of fighter jets.

The Israeli military had announced earlier this morning that it had launched a new wave of airstrikes on Lebanon. It was reported that certain areas in southern and eastern Lebanon were targeted in the strikes.

Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) described the airstrikes, which numbered over 150, as 'unprecedented'.

US AND ISRAELI DEFENSE MINISTERS HELD TALKS

Meanwhile, it was reported that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant spoke by phone with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin yesterday evening.

In a statement from the Ministry of Defense, it was noted that Gallant briefed Austin on Israel's attacks against Hezbollah.

It was also recorded that Gallant and Austin discussed the regional situation during the call.
