Israel postpones ground operation in Gaza
Israeli officials have announced that the ground operation planned for Gaza for days has been postponed and that they will negotiate with mediators for a prisoner exchange.
Visiting infantry units on the Gaza border, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had asked soldiers to be ready for orders for a ground operation, stating, "Those who see Gaza from afar now will see it from the inside. I promise you."

Minister Gallant had stated, "It could take a week, a month, two months until we destroy them."
