Israel prepares to purchase tens of thousands of weapons
It has been stated that Israel has decided to purchase tens of thousands of weapons for its soldiers and that a massive tender will be opened for this purpose.
In a written statement from the Ministry of Defense, it was noted that the Director General of the Ministry of Defense, retired Major General Eyal Zamir, has instructed the Ministry's Procurement Directorate to purchase tens of thousands of weapons.
ISRAEL'S LARGEST TENDER
It was emphasized that the tender, which will be worth millions of shekels and carried out in cooperation with the Armed Forces Planning Department, is the largest tender the Ministry of Defense has ever conducted to purchase weapons from Israeli companies.
The statement mentioned that the tender will be opened in line with the Israeli army's need to renew and increase its weapons stockpile, and it was also conveyed that arms purchases from the US will continue.
HAD SAID "CONTINUED MILITARY SUPPORT"
Israel receives significant military support from the US. During a celebration held at the White House in December 2023 on the occasion of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, US President Joe Biden had stated that they would "continue to provide military support to the Tel Aviv administration until Israel is rid of Hamas."
