Israel strikes health centers in Lebanon

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least 14 healthcare workers were killed in attacks carried out by the Israeli army on two health centers in the south of the country.

Israel strikes health centers in Lebanon

Israel continues to target civilians in its attacks on Lebanon. In a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was reported that the Israeli army carried out an attack on a health center in the town of Burj el Alawei in the Bint Jbeil region in the south of the country. Stating that there were numerous casualties, the ministry said, "12 doctors, paramedics, and nurses working at the center were killed, and one healthcare worker was injured. We mourn the healthcare workers who lost their lives in the Israeli airstrike targeting the primary healthcare center." It was also reported that 2 healthcare workers lost their lives in an Israeli attack on another health center located in the town of El-Sawana in the Marjayoun region. The attacks by Israel targeting health infrastructure were condemned, and it was emphasized that these attacks are a violation of international law.

ISRAEL HAD CLAIMED IT WAS NOT TARGETING CIVILIANS

Following the comprehensive attacks it launched against Iran together with the US on February 28, Israel began carrying out intense airstrikes on many points in Lebanon, primarily the Dahiye region in the capital, Beirut. In statements made by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was claimed that elements belonging to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah were targeted in the aforementioned attacks.

AT LEAST 773 PEOPLE HAD LOST THEIR LIVES

In the latest statement made by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was reported that the number of people who have lost their lives in Israel's attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 773, and the number of injured has risen to 1 thousand 933.
