Israel violates ceasefire in Lebanon again: Explosion in Hasbaya

According to a report by Lebanon's official news agency NNA, the Israeli army carried out a major explosion between the towns of Kfar Hamam and Hibbariye in the Hasbaya district of the Nabatieh governorate. No information was shared regarding the nature or impact of the explosion. Israel has not yet made a statement on the matter.

HOUSE DEMOLISHED

On the other hand, it was reported that a house located on the road between the Kfar Chouba and Shebaa areas in the Marjeyoun district of the Nabatieh governorate was demolished.

The Israeli army, which continues its occupation in regions of southern Lebanon, had previously opened fire on those attempting to return to the area, resulting in the death of a young woman and the detention of 3 Lebanese citizens by Israeli forces.

CEASEFIRE WAS DECLARED ON NOVEMBER 27

A ceasefire was reached between Lebanon and Israel on November 27, 2024. Under the agreement, the Israeli army was required to withdraw from the points it occupied in southern Lebanon within 60 days. However, Israel extended the occupation period until February 18, claiming that the Lebanese army had not "fully deployed" to the south of the country.

While Israel, which requested an extension of the deadline for withdrawing from the regions it occupies, has announced that it will station troops at 5 points, Lebanese officials oppose this.

In attacks by the Israeli army, which has frequently violated the ceasefire agreement since it came into effect on November 27, 2024, 73 people have lost their lives and 265 people have been injured.
