Israeli army announces it is targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon

As the Israeli army intensifies its attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, it has announced that its fighter jets struck military targets belonging to Hezbollah in response to an attempt to fire rockets from Lebanese territory into Israel.

Israeli army announces it is targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon

According to a written statement from the Israeli army, Hezbollah members attempted to fire rockets toward Israel. The rockets fell within Syrian territory. Israeli fighter jets struck military positions belonging to Hezbollah.

In the clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah on the Israel-Lebanon border since October 8, 46 Hezbollah members, as well as 6 members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, 3 from Hamas, and 2 members of the Hezbollah-backed Sunni Resistance Brigade have been killed, along with 4 civilians, one of whom was a journalist.

In attacks carried out from the Lebanese side, 3 Israeli soldiers and one Israeli civilian have lost their lives.

LATEST SITUATION IN GAZA

Due to Israel's intense attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, landline, mobile phone, and internet communication services in the region have been completely cut off.

The Israeli army has announced that it is increasing its airstrikes and will expand its ground operations. Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest health facility in Gaza where thousands of wounded and civilians are located, has also been targeted by the Israeli army.
