Israeli army besieges Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza
It is reported that health conditions in the Gaza Strip have reached a catastrophic level due to Israel's bombing of hospitals, targeting of medical teams and ambulances since October 7, 2023, as well as the strict siege imposed, the closure of border crossings, the lack of necessary medical supplies, and the prevention of patients from leaving the region for treatment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army advanced toward the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital under heavy fire support and placed the hospital under siege from all sides. Witnesses stated that sounds of gunfire and artillery shells were heard from around the hospital.
Health sources had announced that the oxygen station at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, which the Israeli army has been heavily attacking since the beginning of October, had completely stopped, and that the lives of patients and the wounded were under threat.
Sources stated that Israeli drones opened heavy fire on the hospital's surroundings, making it impossible to repair the station due to the attacks.
Three medical personnel were injured when the Israeli army bombed the hospital courtyard with "Quadcopter" type drones on December 3.
Kamal Adwan Hospital Director Hussam Abu Safiya had stated in a written statement following the attack that Israel had bombed the hospital 5 times during the day.
