Israeli army shoots its own citizen

Tensions in the occupied West Bank have risen, this time between the Israeli army and Jewish settlers. According to an official statement from the Israeli army, soldiers stationed in the West Bank "mistook" a group of individuals throwing stones at a military vehicle for "Palestinians" and fired warning shots into the air. During the gunfire, a 14-year-old Jewish settler child was wounded.

Although initial statements indicated that the child was wounded by a rubber bullet, medical examinations at the hospital revealed that he had been shot with live ammunition.

THEY ATTEMPTED TO STORM THE OUTPOST

Following the child's injury, Jewish settlers in the region became enraged. An armed group throwing stones attempted to attack an Israeli army outpost. According to the army, the group tried to incapacitate soldiers with pepper spray, threw stones, and damaged military vehicles.

Israeli soldiers responded with stun grenades to protect the outpost. It was announced that one Israeli settler was injured during the intervention.

SOLDIERS OPENED FIRE "BY MISTAKE"

The Israeli army has launched a detailed investigation into the shooting of the child. The initial statement expressed that stones were thrown at the soldiers at the time of the incident and that the attackers were "mistaken for Palestinians." The statement noted that three shots were fired into the air and that the child may have been wounded during this process.
