Israeli cabinet approves 'war budget'
The Israeli government has approved a budget for 2024 that includes 15 billion dollars in additional spending, covering the military, police, and compensation for those affected by the war.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, the cabinet approved an amendment to the 2024 budget due to the "war" in Gaza, authorizing 15 billion dollars in additional spending.
It was stated that the 15 billion dollars in additional funds will be used for areas such as defense, compensation for those affected by the war, police, health, and education.
MINISTERIAL NEEDS WILL ALSO BE MET
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a statement made before the budget was approved, noted that this is a "war budget," adding that it will meet the needs of reservists and their families, as well as those of the ministries.
