Israeli helicopter crashes in Gaza: 2 soldiers killed, 4 soldiers critically injured
It has been announced that an Israeli Air Force (IAF) helicopter crashed in the southern Gaza Strip on the night of September 10. It was stated that 2 soldiers were killed and several others were injured as a result of the accident. The Israeli military described the incident as an accident.
According to a statement made by the Israel Defense Forces, the helicopter struck the ground instead of landing correctly during the final approach phase inside a military camp in Rafah. While the helicopter sustained heavy damage in the crash, everyone on board was injured, and a total of 2 soldiers were killed. It was reported that 8 soldiers injured during the accident were taken to the hospital, and four of them were critically injured.
Information was also shared that the injured combat engineer was among the 4 soldiers who were seriously wounded. According to the statement, what caused the accident remains unclear, but the IAF defines it as an accident. An investigation has been launched to determine why the helicopter struck the ground instead of landing correctly at the camp site. The names of the deceased soldiers have not yet been released.
