Israeli hostage families demand new deal draft

According to a report by The Times of Israel, families of Israeli hostages held a press conference in front of the Ministry of Defense building in Tel Aviv.

Itzik Horn, the father of Eitan Horn, one of the Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip, called on Witkoff for assistance.

Horn requested that Witkoff set aside Netanyahu and his government, who are trying to prolong the war, and present a proposal that would ensure the release of the hostages and end the attacks on Gaza.

Stating that a ceasefire is possible if Witkoff wishes, Horn said, "This is probably the only way to save the State of Israel."

According to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, demonstrations were held in various cities across the country, primarily in Tel Aviv.

Thousands of Israelis participated in the demonstration held at Habima Square in Tel Aviv, demanding an agreement for the return of the hostages in Gaza.

Einav Zangauker, the mother of hostage Matan Zangauker—whose life, according to Abu Obeida, spokesperson for Hamas's military wing the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, is being endangered by the Israeli army's attacks in Gaza—spoke at the demonstration in Tel Aviv.

Zangauker accused Netanyahu of using the army to maintain his power, stating, "The angel of death, Netanyahu, continues to sacrifice the hostages."

Stating that if her son dies, his blood will be on Netanyahu's hands, Zangauker expressed that the attacks on Gaza are killing the hostages due to the Prime Minister's political concerns and that these attacks constitute illegal orders.
