Israeli lawmaker congratulates Israeli forces for killing Hamas leader al-Arouri in operation

Israeli lawmaker Danny Danon said in a written statement on his social media account, "I congratulate the Israeli army, the Shin Bet (internal intelligence), the Mossad (external intelligence), and the security forces for killing senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri in Beirut."

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS OF THE OPERATION FROM ISRAELI FIGURES

The Likud member of parliament, whose party is led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stated, "Everyone who participated in the October 7 massacre should know that we will reach out to them and settle the score."

While the Israeli government has not yet officially claimed responsibility for the assassination of al-Arouri, Danon's statement is being evaluated as the first admission from Israel regarding the incident.

Reports in the Israeli army radio, citing unnamed "foreign sources," stated that al-Arouri was killed in an attack carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle on a Hamas office in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Lebanese official news agency NNA also announced in its report on the attack that 6 people, including al-Arouri, were killed.
