Israeli media claims agreement with Syria

The Israeli channel i24 News, citing a Syrian source, claimed in its report that the agreement in question would normalize relations between the two countries.

According to the alleged peace agreement to be signed between Israel and Syria by the end of 2025, it was suggested that Israel would gradually withdraw from the Syrian territories it seized after occupying the buffer zone following December 8, 2024, including Mount Hermon.

It was claimed that the agreement would be of a historic nature and would normalize relations between the two countries.

ABRAHAM ACCORDS ON THE AGENDA IN ISRAEL

US President Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff had stated that they would soon make a major announcement regarding the countries that are parties to the Abraham Accords.

In Tel Aviv, a large electronic billboard was displayed featuring a graphic with US President Donald Trump in the center, flanked by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, surrounded by photos of leaders from regional countries, accompanied by the phrase "A New Chance for a New Middle East." The presence of Syrian President Ahmed Shara, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the board drew attention.

Netanyahu had claimed that the end of attacks on Iran "presents an opportunity for a significant expansion of normalization agreements."
