Israeli military launches new air operation against Iran

According to Israel's state television KAN, the Israel Defense Forces have launched a new air operation targeting the western regions of Iran.

The report cited an unnamed military official from the Israeli army, stating that "an undisclosed military official from the Israeli army announced that new air strikes have been launched against western Iran."

On the other hand, there has been no official statement from the Israel Defense Forces regarding the attacks yet.

WHEN DID THE TENSION ESCALATE?

The fuse for the developments that raised tensions between the two countries was lit on June 13 with multi-faceted attacks carried out by Israel on various Iranian cities. The targets included nuclear facilities and the high-level command echelon of the Iranian military.

In the attacks, the Iranian Chief of General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, and several high-ranking military officials, as well as 9 nuclear scientists, lost their lives. It was reported that a total of 224 civilians lost their lives as a result of the attacks.

The Iranian side responded harshly to these attacks. In the retaliatory operation carried out with ballistic missiles, 24 people died in Israel, and over 500 people were injured.

Following these developments, which also resonated in the international community, many countries, led by Turkey, condemned Israel's aggressive stance.
