Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on hostage swap: 'I will fight with all my might'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a video message for Passover. In the message, Netanyahu also touched upon the hostage swap, claiming that all proposals made had been rejected by Hamas.

TOUCHED ON PROTESTS

Pointing to the protests held on the streets of Israel calling for the government's resignation, early elections, and the immediate signing of a hostage swap deal, he claimed that "Hamas is benefiting from the division in Israel and is emboldened by the pressure on the government."

Stating that Hamas has hardened its conditions for releasing the hostages, Netanyahu argued that they would "increase diplomatic and military pressure" on Hamas in the coming days, as he claimed this is the only way to bring the hostages back and "achieve victory."

Netanyahu said, "The Israeli army is strong in defense and offense, its enemies will not be able to defeat Israel, and they will prevail."

REGARDING REPORTS OF SANCTIONS ON THE ISRAELI ARMY: 'I WILL FIGHT'

Stating that he would defend the Israeli army and its soldiers, Netanyahu addressed reports that the US plans to impose sanctions on the "Netzah Yehuda" battalion of the Israeli army due to human rights violations in the West Bank, using the expression: "If anyone thinks they can impose sanctions on a unit of the Israeli army, I will fight against it with all my might."
