Hamas called the events 'a disgrace to humanity' and used the following expressions regarding the incident:

'The brutal images of throwing the bodies of martyrs from roofs once again confirm the barbarity and savagery of the occupation army, which has been carrying out massacres and genocide against our people in Gaza for a year under the silence of the international community and the political and military protection of the US.'

Pointing out that 'these horrific crimes' committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are contrary to all international and humanitarian laws and customs, the statement included the following: 'This shows that the fascist occupation state does not need an excuse to commit massacres and crimes against our people and the peoples of the region.'
