Israelis hold demonstration demanding hostage exchange deal in Gaza: Criticism of Netanyahu grows

Hundreds of Israelis held a demonstration in Israel's capital, Tel Aviv, to call for a hostage exchange.

The long-running protests in Israel demanding a hostage exchange deal had lost momentum following the escalation of tensions with Hezbollah in the north.

According to a report by Israel-based Channel 12 Television, dozens of Israelis demanding a hostage exchange deal gathered on Begin Street in central Tel Aviv.

ACCUSATIONS AGAINST NETANYAHU: 'YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HOSTAGES'

The Israelis, who blocked the street to traffic, carried signs accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of not caring about the lives of the hostages held in Gaza for nearly a year.

According to Lebanese authorities, a total of 1,030 people, including 104 children and 194 women, have been killed in attacks carried out by Israel since September 17, when communication devices used by Hezbollah were detonated.
