Speaking to CNN in New York, where he is attending the United Nations General Assembly, Pezeshkian evaluated the potential consequences of Israel's aggression in the region.

Stating that they "cannot allow Lebanon to become another Gaza at the hands of Israel," Pezeshkian said, "Hezbollah cannot do this alone. Hezbollah cannot stand alone against a regime that is supported, defended, and supplied by Western countries, European countries, and the United States with the most advanced weapons."

Iranian President Pezeshkian reiterated that Lebanon, where Israel continues its attacks, must not be allowed to turn into the situation in Gaza, adding that if Israel's attacks are not stopped, the region faces the risk of entering a wider war.

492 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

The Israeli army has launched hundreds of airstrikes on Lebanon since yesterday morning, targeting southern cities as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 492 people, including 35 children and 58 women, have lost their lives in the attacks, and 1,645 people have been injured.

A wave of displacement from the southern regions of the country toward the capital, Beirut, and the north continues.

While the Lebanese Ministry of Education announced that education has been suspended nationwide, the Ministry of Interior announced that schools in the south of the country have been opened to shelter citizens displaced by the Israeli attacks.
