Japan decides to support Ukraine
It has been stated that Japan will provide 106 million dollars in support for the reconstruction of the infrastructure of Ukraine, which is at war with Russia.
The Japanese government has announced that it will provide a total of 15.8 billion yen (106 million dollars) in support across 7 different areas, including the reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure.
According to a report by the official Kyodo News agency citing cabinet sources, Japan will support the reconstruction of Ukraine, where Russia continues its attacks.
Accordingly, more than 10 cooperation memorandums will be signed at the "Japan-Ukraine Conference for Promotion of Economic Reconstruction" to be held in Tokyo tomorrow.
The conference will be attended by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, along with over 300 officials from the bureaucracy and business sectors of both countries.
The central government will provide a total of 15.8 billion yen in funding to Ukraine in 7 different areas, including the reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure and mine clearance.
Speaking to Kyodo earlier this month, Shmyhal stated that Japanese firms could play a "major role in helping with recovery" in the fields of energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and engineering.
