Joe Biden: Trump distracted me by constantly shouting
US President Joe Biden, justifying his performance in the live televised debate with his Republican rival Donald Trump that sparked serious criticism, stated, "Trump was shouting even when his microphone was off. That distracted me."
US President Joe Biden gave his first television interview to ABC News following calls for him to withdraw from the election race by many, including Democrats, his supporters, and donors, after his live televised debate with Trump.
When asked what happened on the night of the debate, Biden said, "I was very sick, I was feeling very bad."
Stating that he had a bad night, Biden assessed, "Trump was shouting even when his microphone was off. That distracted me. That wasn't the only problem, but I couldn't maintain much control."
Regarding whether he had watched the debate again, Biden replied, "No, I don't think I watched it."

Regarding being behind in the polls, Biden said, "I don't believe in polls."
Arguing that no one is more qualified than him to be president, Biden stated, "I am the most qualified person to beat Trump."
Biden, who did not answer with very clear expressions when asked if he sees himself as president for another 4 years, pointed to bringing NATO together and said, "I am the man who brought down Putin."
When asked about those who criticize him, Biden stated that those people do not know "what they are talking about."
Reiterating that he will not withdraw from the election race, Biden said that only God could convince him to withdraw.
"I AM UNDERGOING AN EXAMINATION EVERY DAY"
Avoiding answering whether he would accept an examination to measure his mental health, Biden said, "I am already undergoing an examination with what I do every day."
Stating that he is not just running an election campaign, Biden said, "I am running the world. It might sound like an exaggeration, but it is not; we are the country at the center of the world."
