Jordan: We will defend ourselves against any threat
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has warned both Israel and Iran, following the violation of his country's airspace by Iranian missiles fired at Israel, that Jordan will "defend itself with all its capabilities against any threat."
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has issued a warning to Israel and Iran after Iranian missiles fired at Israel violated his country's airspace.
In a phone call with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Safadi stated, "Jordan will not be a battlefield for anyone."
Stating that Jordan "will defend itself with all its capabilities against any threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens," Safadi added, "Jordan has clearly communicated this position to both Iran and Israel."
Safadi also called for ceasefire agreements in both Gaza and Lebanon to "stop this dangerous escalation" in the Middle East.
The Jordanian Public Security Directorate reported yesterday that its air force and air defense systems intercepted Iranian missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles during Iran's missile attack on Israel.
