Kamikaze drone attack on US bases in Syria: Security alert!

According to information obtained from local sources, the base at the Omar oil field, located east of the Euphrates River in Deir ez-Zor, was targeted by a kamikaze drone of unknown origin around 22:30. Following the attack, sirens were heard in the base area, and US warplanes flew over the region. Subsequently, US forces targeted the villages of Khasham, Jafra, Hawija, and Mreyiyye, where Iranian-backed groups are present west of the Euphrates River, with artillery fire from their base at the Omar oil field.

On the other hand, the US Al-Tanf base in the desert region of Homs province was attacked by multiple kamikaze drones.

While some of the drones were shot down by the air defense systems at the base before reaching their targets, an unknown number of drones struck the base. It is currently unknown whether there were any casualties at either base.

Recently in Syria, bases where the US military is stationed—including the Al-Tanf region, the Al-Malikiyah district near the Iraqi border, the Al-Shaddadi district in Al-Hasakah province, and the Deir ez-Zor province—have been subjected to attacks by drones, armed drones (UCAVs), and surface-to-surface weapons of unknown origin.

Iranian-backed groups occasionally carry out rocket and UCAV attacks on US bases on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
