In Guangdong, 5 people have lost their lives, and 15 others remain unaccounted for.
Two bridges collapsed in the city of Meizhou and the town of Dongshi in the province following the heavy rainfall and flooding.
In Fujian, 4 people have died and 2 are missing.
In Fujian's Wuping County, heavy rains caused 378 houses to collapse.
