Poll results continue to be released showing that Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamala Harris continues to gain strength in the US presidential election to be held in November.

According to The Guardian, FiveThirtyEight, one of the leading poll analysis sites, shows that Harris is leading her Republican rival Donald Trump by 2.1 points in the national average.

Polls conducted in swing states reveal that Harris is leading by 2 points in Michigan, 1.1 points in Pennsylvania, and 1.8 points in Wisconsin.

Trump appears to be leading by less than half a point in Arizona and by half a point in Georgia. In North Carolina, one of the battleground states, Trump is about 3 points ahead of Harris; in Nevada, recent CBS and Bloomberg polls show Harris leading by two points.

It is observed that the outlook for election results for Democrats has changed since US Vice President Kamala Harris heeded calls for Joe Biden to step aside in mid-July. Biden, while completing his single term in office, had endorsed Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee for this November.

'THE RACE REMAINS NECK-AND-NECK'

Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report stated that before Harris entered the race, Biden was trailing in both the national vote and battleground states.

Stating that these figures have changed significantly in Harris's favor following her nomination, Walter warned, "However, these states have not shifted from being in Trump's favor to being in Harris's favor. The race remains neck-and-neck."

For now, the impact of Tim Walz, whom Harris chose as her vice-presidential running mate, has not been felt in the polls. However, Harris continues to lead for the second week, maintaining her 2-point advantage in the Economist/YouGov poll.

In a poll released by Reuters/Ipsos, Harris appears to be leading by 5 points at 42 percent to 37 percent, which indicates a 2-point increase in Harris's support since Biden's withdrawal. Ipsos also states that Harris is leading Trump 42 percent to 40 percent across seven battleground states, though it notes that it "did not break down the results for individual states."
