Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati: Israel will not wage war on us

A statement from the Prime Minister's media office noted that while there have been reports and claims that Prime Minister Mikati received warnings that Israel would launch a large-scale attack on Lebanon, these do not reflect the truth and were published as part of "pressures on Lebanon."

Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati: Israel will not wage war on us

The statement indicated that Mikati is conducting "extensive diplomatic contacts" to stop Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon.

A report by the al-Akhbar newspaper, known for its proximity to Hezbollah in Lebanon, had stated, citing certain sources, that most foreign guests visiting the capital Beirut emphasized their concerns that there would be a serious threat from Israel.

The report stated that the UK had warned Lebanese authorities that Israel could launch an attack in mid-June.

Israel, which has been continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, is also clashing with Lebanese Hezbollah on its northern border.

It was reported that 325 Hezbollah members, 65 Lebanese civilians, 19 Amal Movement members, 13 Hamas members, 15 Islamic Jihad members, as well as 14 Israeli soldiers and 10 Israeli civilians have been killed in these clashes.
