Location and date for US-Iran negotiations set! Tehran declares 'historic victory'

The Iranian Supreme National Security Council issued a statement following the temporary ceasefire reached between the US, Israel, and Iran through the mediation of Pakistan. The Council stated, "Iran has achieved a historic victory by forcing the US to accept its 10-point plan. The US has accepted Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, its right to nuclear enrichment, and the lifting of all sanctions."

Announcing that the negotiations will begin on Friday, April 10, in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, "with complete distrust of the US side," the Council said, "Iran will allocate two weeks for these negotiations. This period may be extended by the agreement of the parties."

Emphasizing that national unity must be preserved and victory celebrations must continue strongly during this period, the Council stated, "The current negotiations are national negotiations and are a continuation of the situation on the ground. It is necessary for all the people, the elite, and political groups to trust and support this process, which is being conducted under the supervision of revolutionary leaders and the highest levels of the system, and to strictly avoid any divisive rhetoric."

Underlining that Iran is determined regarding its demands, the Council said, "If the defeat the enemy has experienced on the ground turns into a definitive political gain in the negotiations, we will celebrate this great historic victory together. Otherwise, we will fight shoulder to shoulder on the ground until all the demands of the Iranian nation are met. Our fingers are on the trigger, and the slightest mistake by the enemy will be met with an immediate response with all our might."

IRANIAN PRESS SHARES 10 POINTS PRESENTED TO THE US

Reports in the Iranian press shared the 10 points of the proposal Iran presented to the US. The report stated that these points include a non-aggression pledge, the continuation of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, the acceptance of uranium enrichment activities, the lifting of all primary sanctions, the lifting of all secondary sanctions, the termination of all UN Security Council resolutions, the termination of all International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors resolutions, the payment of compensation to Iran, the withdrawal of US combat forces from the region, and the end of the war on all fronts, including those conducted against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
