Longest communication blackout experienced in Gaza Strip under Israeli attack

In a post on UNRWA's X social media account, it was noted that the longest communication blackout in the region since October 7, when Israel began its attacks on the Gaza Strip, has been experienced.

The statement, which noted that those living in the Gaza Strip have been cut off from their loved ones and the rest of the world, emphasized that this situation increases the "sense of isolation."

The statement expressed that the communication blackout hinders humanitarian intervention and limits access to life-saving information.

9 COMMUNICATION BLACKOUTS IMPOSED

In the Gaza Strip, which has been kept under blockade for years and subjected to dire conditions, Israel's attacks since October 7 have cut off supplies of water, food, medicine, electricity, and fuel, while landline, mobile phone, and internet communication services are also frequently interrupted.

Israel has imposed 9 communication blackouts in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war.

The Media Office of the government in Gaza states that since the beginning of Israel's attacks on the Palestinian people, it has deliberately cut off communication and internet networks with the Gaza Strip, and calls for an immediate and urgent halt to the brutal attacks against the Palestinian people.
