Macron's alarming warning regarding Europe's security

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that if Moscow emerges victorious in the Ukraine-Russia war, it would mean the end of Europe's security.

Macron's alarming warning regarding Europe's security

Macron met with soldiers at the Naval Base in the city of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, located in the country's Manche department.

Speaking there, Macron said, "We are not at war with Russia, but our duty is to make their (Russia's) victory impossible."

Regarding the Ukraine-Russia war, Macron stated, "With a Russian victory, Europe's security comes to an end."

MILITARY BUDGET DOUBLED

Touching upon the situation in the Middle East, Macron noted that France defends freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and assessed his country's presence in the region as "effective."

Macron explained that more than 1,000 Palestinians have been hosted aboard the Dixmude, a helicopter carrier configured to provide hospital services for the treatment of the wounded in Gaza, and that more than 120 severely injured individuals have been treated.

French President Macron stated that the military's budget has doubled since 2017.

A WOMAN FELL ILL AMONG THE AUDIENCE

During Macron's speech, a woman standing behind him fell ill.

Macron paused his speech briefly while the woman was being attended to.

A group, including gendarmes, stood behind Macron while he was speaking.
