Man who sexually abused a 14-year-old girl to be castrated!

In the US state of Louisiana, 54-year-old Glenn Sullivan, who raped a 14-year-old girl, has been sentenced to 50 years in prison and ordered to undergo physical castration. It was stated that the 14-year-old girl, whose identity has not been disclosed, is pregnant.

Louisiana law allows judges to sentence a man to chemical or physical castration if he has been convicted of certain rape offenses.

In cases of chemical castration, the individual is given a drug that lowers testosterone levels, and treatment continues with the aim of reducing their libido.

Physical castration involves the surgical removal of the gonads, permanently lowering testosterone levels, and rendering the individual sterile.

Assistant District Attorney Brad Cascio, who prosecuted Sullivan, stated the following:

"I have previously ordered chemical castration for three people, but this was the first physical castration ruling. I felt that this was a strong enough case and that it warranted such an action. Sexual crimes against children are the most malicious crimes we prosecute. In order to seek justice for the children in our community, I plan to use every tool the legislature has intended to give us, including physical castration."
