A military transport aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force was involved in a tragic accident near the Jorhat region of Assam state on the morning of June 13. The aircraft, which was approaching the IAF's Rowriah air base in the morning hours, crashed during landing for reasons yet to be determined.

In an official statement released following the accident, it was reported that five military personnel lost their lives at the scene. It was noted that the co-pilot on board survived the crash with injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

While military officials reached the scene quickly, a comprehensive investigation has been launched to determine the exact conditions under which the accident occurred. It was announced that the accident took place around 10:00 a.m. while the aircraft was on a routine mission flight.

The Indian Air Force stated in a message shared on social media, "The IAF is deeply saddened by the loss of life and stands firmly with the families of the deceased during this sorrowful time."
