National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın has met with Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın discussed various issues during his meetings with Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. According to information obtained from security sources, it was stated that as part of his visit to Iraq, Kalın also met with Shiite and Sunni groups as well as Turkmen representatives.
During the meetings, topics such as counter-terrorism, specifically the threat posed by the PKK terrorist organization and taking joint steps to combat it, and security cooperation were discussed. At the same time, the continuation of cooperation in the fight against DAESH, as well as issues such as the Development Road Project within the scope of security and economic cooperation and the war in Gaza, were among the topics addressed.
