More than 90 thousand people killed, missing or injured in Gaza

According to research published by Euro-Med, 4 percent of Gaza's population, or more than 90 thousand people, have been killed, gone missing, or been injured in Israel's ongoing attacks since October 7. According to data from the Geneva-based human rights monitor, these attacks have destroyed approximately 70 percent of the facilities and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Euro-Med report, a total of 30 thousand 676 Palestinians had lost their lives in Israeli attacks as of January 4. Of these casualties, 28 thousand 201 were recorded as civilians, 12 thousand 40 as children, 6 thousand 103 as women, 241 as healthcare workers, and 105 as journalists.

According to the research, the facilities targeted by Israel include 318 schools, 1,612 industrial facilities, 169 health facilities including 23 hospitals, 57 clinics and 89 ambulances, 201 mosques, 3 churches, and 169 press offices. Furthermore, as a result of the attacks, 67 thousand 946 housing units were completely destroyed and 179 thousand 750 housing units were partially damaged.

It is emphasized that this humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, along with the military attacks carried out by Israel in line with its goal of expanding the Gaza Strip, has displaced the vast majority of Palestinian civilians in the region in violation of international law.
