Mother of Israeli hostage who died in Gaza rebels against the state

According to a report by the Times of Israel, the mother of Israeli hostage Tamir Adar criticized Israeli officials who claimed her son died during the Hamas attacks on October 7.

Contradicting the Israeli administration, mother Adar explained that Tamir was wounded in the October 7 attack and died after being taken to Gaza due to a lack of medical equipment, stating, "Tamir died because he could not be provided with emergency medical care. If the state were functioning, my son would have been saved. This would not have been a failure."

Mother Adar emphasized that by claiming her son was killed on October 7, the goal was to "minimize the scale of the state's failure."

Stating that efforts must be made to release the hostages, Adar said, "Everything must be done now to release the hostages alive. Before it is too late for them as well, and before they write, 'He was killed on October 7.' We have lost the most precious thing. Do not let other families lose their loved ones."

HOSTAGES ARE LOSING THEIR LIVES IN ISRAEL'S BOMBARDMENTS

Tamir Adar, a member of the Nir Oz emergency response team, was abducted as a hostage to Gaza along with his grandmother during the Hamas attack on October 7. His grandmother, Yaffa Adar, was later released in November as part of the prisoner exchange agreement reached between Hamas and Israel during the "temporary humanitarian pause."

It was previously thought that Tamir had been taken hostage during the October 7 Hamas attacks and was being held in Gaza. Nir Oz regional officials announced yesterday that Tamir had actually died on October 7.

Israel's continued heavy bombardment of the city, despite the presence of hostages in Gaza, is being met with anger by the families of the hostages. Since the beginning of the attacks, it has been announced that 26 of the 132 hostages in the Gaza Strip have died.

In the Gaza Strip, where the entry of humanitarian aid is blocked by Israeli forces, there is a shortage of basic necessities as well as medicine and medical supplies.
