The plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit for 200 million shekels (approximately 55 million dollars) against the Israeli army, the internal intelligence service Shin Bet (Shabak), and the Israeli police, citing negligence in the incident.

The lawsuit file states that the raid could have been prevented with "a single phone call" and that there was "gross negligence" in responding to the events during the festival.

In a statement made by the plaintiffs' lawyer, it was noted that "The disaster could have been prevented at many points during this process."

The Israeli press pointed out that this is the "first lawsuit filed against Israeli security forces" regarding the events of October 7.

WHAT HAPPENED ON OCTOBER 7

Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on October 7, citing the need to "respond to ongoing violations against Palestinians and sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

A report in the Haaretz newspaper on November 19 provided information regarding the investigation conducted by security forces into the October 7 attack, including the Nova Music Festival raid.

The report stated that the police investigation revealed that most of the festival attendees managed to escape because a decision was made to stop the party half an hour before the first gunshot was heard.

The investigation also noted that it was revealed that an Israeli combat helicopter had hit civilians while firing at Qassam Brigade members. According to the Israeli police, 364 people were killed at the festival during the events.
