Netanyahu admits to disagreement with the US
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that there is a disagreement with the US regarding the necessity of the ground operation he intends to carry out in Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with members of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. In his speech, Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army would conduct a ground operation in Rafah and that he had conveyed this to US President Joe Biden during their most recent conversation.
Netanyahu said, “We have a disagreement with the Americans regarding the necessity of entering Rafah. We do not see any other way to militarily eliminate Hamas without destroying what remains. We are determined to do this.”
Netanyahu added, "In our conversation, I expressed to the President (Biden) in the clearest terms that we are determined to liquidate the Hamas presence in Rafah. There is no other way to do this other than entering by ground," he said.
