Netanyahu announces new alliance

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a press briefing held before the cabinet meeting that the goal is to establish a new international alliance with various countries around the Mediterranean and in the Middle East.

Netanyahu noted that the alliance would include India, several Arab and African countries, as well as Greece, the Greek Cypriot Administration, and some Asian nations.

Speaking about the purpose of this new structure they plan to establish, Netanyahu said, "This axis faces both the radical Shiite axis, which we have struck very hard, and the emerging radical Sunni axis." Netanyahu emphasized that the alliance aims to strengthen the foundation for joint defense and cooperation by bringing together countries that are struggling with similar threats and challenges.

Netanyahu announced that more information regarding the details of the 'hexagon' alliance project they intend to launch will be shared in the coming days. He also stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to Tel Aviv on Wednesday, February 25. It was noted that this visit would be an important step in solidifying the alliance plans.
