Netanyahu announces new timeline for attacks on Gaza

Netanyahu stated, "Our goal is a decisive victory against Hamas. We will kill the Hamas leadership, so we must continue to be active in every area of the Gaza Strip."

Arguing that the attacks should not end before the Hamas leadership is killed, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "The war should not end before then, but it will take months, not years."

Touching upon the Israeli hostages held in Gaza, Netanyahu announced that they would continue to strive for their return home, but that "Hamas has unacceptable demands."

FAMILIES OF ISRAELI HOSTAGES DENIED ENTRY TO MEETING

According to a report by the Times of Israel, relatives of those held hostage in the Gaza Strip were not allowed into the Likud Party's weekly meeting.

The report stated that the families of the hostages, who have been regularly lobbying in the Knesset for months for the release of the captives, had been trying to enter the meeting for weeks.

Speaking to the Israel-based news site Walla, Gil Dickmann, whose cousin is being held hostage in Gaza, stated, "Likud is the only party that has not met with us to date."

Dickmann said, "We were hoping they would meet with us, but they continue to look for reasons not to do so."
