Netanyahu opposes the idea of a Palestinian state

In a post on the social media platform X, Netanyahu stated, "I will not compromise on full Israeli security control over the entire area west of the Jordan, and this is contrary to a Palestinian state."

Israel's former Foreign Minister and current Energy Minister Eli Cohen also argued in a message shared on the social media platform X that the establishment of a Palestinian state would pose a "threat" to his country.

Stating that he rejects the two-state solution proposals accepted by the international community, including the UN, Cohen had used the expression, "This will encourage the killing of Jews and support Iran's axis of evil. We will not extend our hand for the establishment of a Palestinian state."

Minister of Culture and Sport Miki Zohar also shared a message on his X account, saying, "We will never extend our hand to the establishment of a Palestinian state."

STATEMENT FROM THE US ON A PALESTINIAN STATE

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a post on his X account on January 8 that they are committed to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated at a press conference he held on January 18 that he is opposed to the establishment of a Palestinian state in any form in the period following the attacks in Gaza.

Netanyahu said that he had also informed the US administration of this position.

In a report broadcast on the US television network NBC News, it was claimed that the US administration is preparing for the post-Netanyahu era.
