Netanyahu sets conditions to end attacks

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a televised press conference for the first time since last December.

Stating that they are ready for a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said, "If there is an option for a temporary ceasefire to rescue the hostages, we are ready."

Stating that the Israeli army's attacks aim to take control of the entire Gaza Strip, Netanyahu said, "We must avoid a humanitarian crisis to maintain our operational freedom of movement." Netanyahu claimed that Israel would control all of Gaza once the Israeli attacks end.

Netanyahu, who for the first time made the implementation of US President Donald Trump's plan for the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza a condition for Israel to end its attacks, emphasized that Israel is ready to end the attacks under clear conditions that will ensure Israel's security.

Netanyahu said, "All hostages will return home, Hamas will lay down its arms and withdraw from governance, Hamas leaders will be exiled from Gaza, Gaza will be completely demilitarized, and we will implement the Trump plan. It is a very correct and very revolutionary plan."
